About Us

The DMA Scientific Computing SIG was formed in early 2018. Our goal is to remind the Dayton community about the computer's continued usefulness as a tool to explore the natural world. Whether you are a teacher who is using computers to teach about STEM topics or a scientist who is doing a scientific computing project outside of academia, you are welcome to come to our meetings to either work on your project or tell others about it.

Our current meeting place is:

Gem City Catfe
1513 East 5th Street
Dayton, OH 45403

We meet every third Friday at 6pm on the second floor. (Please note that the start time has changed. The Catfe is open only until 8pm on Fridays during the winter.)
